COVID PEEL

(Pandemic Eradication Engagement Liaisons)

Pandemic Eradication Engagement Liaisons take committed and consistent efforts to do something, anything within their means, to help end the COVID pandemic. Whether taking one recommended safety measure or all measures, every effort counts.

PEEL is not intended to push any one COVID-control measure, but to press the importance of everyone taking some level of commitment in ending COVID. No politics…Just plain population health and safety.

Protect you, protect your family, and protect whatever matters to you. It’s time to engage! Be a PEEL.

What will you do to help restore safety and prevent getting or spreading COVID in your community?

One Measure or All – Whatever You Do Counts!

Masks
Mask Motivation

Masks have been one of the best and most simple methods for preventing transmission of diseases for centuries. COVID viruses and variants will continue airborne spread without regular use of masks.

Vaccines
Vaccine Validity

Since their creation, vaccines have been one of the most effective ways to eradicate many contagious diseases. Vaccines help the body to identify viruses and defend against future attacks, minimizing severe illness and death. For most, it’s worth a shot!

Social Distancing
Safety in Social Distancing

Social distancing means keeping a safe amount of space between you and others. It reduces risk of breathing in or passing on airborne germs. Safe your space and stay at least six (6) feet apart from others who do not live in your home. Air hugs all around!

Cleaning
Cleaning is Caring

Frequent handwashing, using soap and water or hand sanitizer, goes a long way to prevent breeding infectious germs. Likewise, cleaning surfaces shared with or used by others helps stop virus transmission in its tracks. Care to clean!

PEEL Possibilities

Entities considered a part of the public health infrastructure are encouraged to require masks for all who enter public facilities. As vaccinated individuals can become positive for COVID and possibly transmit to others, masking practices should apply to all persons inside facilities. Also:

  • Arrange facility furniture and equipment in a manner that allows social distancing.
  • Implement frequent cleaning practices.
  • Supply masks onsite for convenience.
  • Ensure access to COVID testing and vaccines onsite or nearby for convenience and safety.

Consider love of family and your desire to protect vulnerable family members from COVID infection. Think about ensuring safe schools where children can go to learn.

How can we protect loved ones?

For the love of self and others, wear masks and have children wear masks when away from home or in the company of others who do not live in your home…even those who have been vaccinated.  Vaccinated individuals can become positive for COVID and possibly transmit to others.

To further protect you and your family:

  • Get your COVID vaccine to minimize risk of severe illness or death in case of COVID infection.
  • Minimize group gatherings that don’t allow adequate distancing.
  • For extra care and safety, Be a PEEL.

Businesses are encouraged to request masks for all employees and patrons inside facilities. Because vaccinated individuals can become positive for COVID and possibly transmit to others, practices should apply to all persons inside facilities. Also:

  • Arrange facility furniture and equipment in a manner that encourages social distancing.
  • Implement frequent cleaning practices.
  • Consider virtual work and activities where feasible.
  • Restaurants may consider “masks until meal” (wear masks until meal arrives, then re-mask when meal complete) for those dining inside; and space tables at least 6 feet apart to create distance.
